IOS4 - New Official Name of iPhone OS 4, Coming June 21
Goodbye iPhone OS, hello iOS which is coming on June 21.

A minor announcement today at WWDC 2010 is that Apple's Steve Jobs announced a name change of the iPhoneOS. This makes a lot of sense considering the OS runs on three devices, not just the iPhone. The new OS name is now iOS, with iOS4 being released on June 21 to current iPhone and iPod Touch users. One interesting highlight, the update is now available for free to iPod Touch users for the first time.
Base features are what we saw at the sneak peak event — and have detailed in way too much detail already in our walkthrough — except for the FaceTime (i.e. video chat/calling) feature. More information about iOS4 is available on Apple's website.
