Recently we have seen many possibly design parts of iPhone 4s based on iPhone 4. However iPhone 5 remains unclear due to little evidence.There is a report in April said that iPhone 5 will be in re-designed shape and the back case will have teardrop shape, the thickness will be different from the top to bottom.

In July, iPhone 5 protect case developed by third supplier factory, who insisted it and have already produce the iPhone 5 case according to the design of protect case. According to this leaked protect cases, we have designed a series iPhone 5 case chart , which in order to confirm the rough shape of next generation iPhone. According to the measurement of protect case, the designer have draw out the iPhone 5 shape,( see above picture), According to this designed drawing, we can see the size of the iPhone 5 is 4.33 *2.36inch,  this is more width and shorter than the currently iPhone 4 as the size of iPhone 4 is 4.5*2.31inch.

Currently, the iPhone 5 protect case can be ordered from the supplier, which means it has begin to sell in the market, after we purchase the protect case, we have measured it to confirm the exactly size of iPhone 5.

Since the rim of both sides for iPhone 5 protect case are all open and stretch, it is very difficult to measure the size, but we estimate the size of this iPhone is 4.7*2.6inch, but since we don't know how the phone insert into protect case from the both sides, it is also very difficult to measure the thick of phone. But we are sure that the thickest space is no lower than 0.3 inch, and from the top to bottom, the thick at least changed 0.65 inch.

 The below picture have showed the comparison of iPhone 4 with protect case, from the picture , we can see that the rim of two sides for each iPhone 4 has a big gap, this showed the dimension of the iPhone 5 will be increased a lot, and from the side of view, we can see the thick of the iPhone 5 is more thinner than iPhone 4. And also from the second side view comparison picture, we can see the thick of iPhone 5 is even more thinner than Ipad touch 2.

We know the screen size of iPhone 4 is 3.5 inch, and the width of screen is 1.95 inch. However, we also know the width of iPhone 4 is 2.31 inch, this means the iPhone 4 screen margin is 0.36inch, If we take this same ratio into iPhone 5, we found the screen width of iPhone 5 is 2.24 inch, so the size of the screen is 4 inch, and we are sure the APPLE will not let the margin of iPhone 5 is bigger than iPhone 4, so the screen size of the iPhone 5 is at least 4 inch. But currently there is a report from DigiTimes said the screen size of iPhone 5 will be between 3.5 to 3.7 inch.

So Currently we did not have any evidence to prove the size of iPhone 5, If you believe those protect case are for iPhone 5, then we are sure the size of iPhone 5 is more bigger than iPhone 4, and also have 4 inch screen,  The APPLE will release the iPhone 5 at the end of this month or later in the begging of October.
