The Analyst Ming Chi Kuo said on Monday the white iPod Touch and iPhone will have some difference in their colors as they take the different Glass lamination process. And Apple prefers the back color is more popular than white. There is some rumors showed that Apple also produce  60% back color for the released iPod Touch.

Mr Kuo said this white version will contribute to increase of iPod touch sales, but at the same time he claimed since there is no new design change or upgrading of hardware of iPod touch, the increase may be limited. Mr. Kuo estimated the this year the shipment of iPod touch will be less than last year. He also predicts that in 2012 Apple will promote their sales by changing the design of iPod touch and upgrading the software. Last quarter, the iPod touch takes half rate in 7.54 Million iPod sales.

Mr. Kuo said in July, from the product strategy of Apple, he claimed Apple will release the white iPod touch, except the choice of colors, New iPod touch will also have some difference between the released one in last Sept.

The code for new iPod touch was named 4.2 in the iOs 5 testing version, which showes the new iPod touch is almost the same as the last year. If there were some change in the hardware, then the definition of iPod touch must be changed to "5.1".
